Daniel Scotland's Digital Research Project

Daniel Scotland is a Biology and Mathematics major who also studies A-level Biology. He is a nineteen year old gamer who specializes in real time strategy. He lives at Canefield East and attends the Dominica State College. His hobbies are reading, meditating and gaming. He has four years of experience in self-defence karate and was an editor for the Dominica State College Newsletter Committee.

The digital research project is on the Battle of Dominica (commonly known as the Battle of the Saints). It occurred in 1782 and was a battle associated with the American Revolution. The purpose of the project is to analyse various naval strategies and the very mechanics of naval warfare. Key figures involved in the war are analysed and statistics on the casualties of the battle which lasted four days have been presented.

The project seeks to present valuable information to authors interested in writing on naval warfare in the 18th century. In addition, game developers will also be utilized the project to create more accurate game mechanics.
